This free event invites men and women from our community to receive vital breast cancer information and access resources. In addition to our secret surprise emcee, guests will enjoy:

  • A cooking demonstration by a local executive chef
  • A multidisciplinary physician panel from Methodist Charlton’s nationally accredited Breast Center of Excellence
  • Access to groups that provide programs and services for breast cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.

Because breast cancer doesn’t just affect women, there will also be a “Just for Men” private session led by male breast cancer survivors.

This annual event raises awareness for the fight against breast cancer, offers information about early detection, and highlights the latest technologies. Hear from physician experts and strong women as we raise funds to help breast cancer patients.

WEIGHT-LOSS SUPPORT FOR BARIATRIC SURGERY PATIENTS

Methodist Dallas

Every third Tuesday of the month: Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 19.

  • 5 p.m. — Walk the Methodist Mile around the hospital (optional)
  • 6 to 7:30 p.m. — Information meeting

Weight Management Classroom, Methodist Dallas Medical Center Pavilion II (first floor), 1411 N. Beckley Ave., Dallas, TX 75203.

The Methodist Dallas Bariatric Support Group is dedicated to helping both patients and community members achieve a healthy lifestyle. The meeting is free and open to the public, and the group is made up of people who are considering, in the process of having, or have had bariatric surgery. Each meeting features a new topic and a guest speaker. Past presenters have been a chef specializing in post-bariatric recipes, a fitness trainer, and a psychologist.

The free support group meets each month to discuss different topics and offer accountability and encouragement for those looking to have weight loss surgery or who have had weight loss surgery.

 Third Thursday of each month, 3 to 5 p.m.

Come learn how to live with heart disease and diabetes and how these two conditions interact. These free sessions include a meal, guest speakers, and door prizes.
